The Lao Upland Rural Advisory Service (LURAS) is a project of the Lao and Swiss Governments, implemented by the Department of Extension and Agro-Processing (DTEAP) and Helvetas. Starting in 2015, LURAS is helping farmers to improve their incomes and food security through sustainable agriculture and small enterprises. LURAS has been supporting the tea producers in Xiengkhuang, Huaphanh, Oudomxay and Phongsaly province.

Community Organization Participation and Empowerment (COPE) is a project under Helvetas Laos Programme, with the overall objective is to assist smallholder producers fairly benefit from the tea and other agricultural products value chain development through better accessibility and adaptation of information, improved technologies and strengthening of the institution and enabling environment.

The Regional BioTrade Southeast Asia Project seeks to identify and develop a sustainable natural ingredient supply chain that will promote the equitable sharing of benefits derived from the sustainable use of biodiversity. Bio Trade do this by helping communities and companies to improve product quality along the value chain and to increase the market access of these products through BioTrade principles.
BioTrade had been piloting on tea products in Phongsaly and Bokeo province, now these tea products have exported to the European market and increasing number of order year by year.
